Posts will be a little more intermittent now that summer has arrived.
I’ve got a few irons in the fire that are competing for attention as well as the desire to spend more time with the kiddos and catch up on a couple of DIY projects.
That’s what summer is for, right?
Right now I”m looking at maybe three posts a week, plus whatever Thoman contributes. I might also introduce the occasional “open mike” post where you can raise issues of concern or interest.
In the meantime, enjoy those hours of rain-free leisure.
Speaking of summer schedules, who at the Village forgot to consult with District 58 about summer school? The Village is doing what appears to be drainage and sewer work near 59th and Dunham, while District 58 is holding summer school at Hillcrest.
Traffic and parking today was miserable, because Dunham was closed between 59th and Jefferson, and 59th was closed between Dunham and Middaugh.
You think the Village could have waited until after the 26th, when summer school is over.
And I thought they should have planned some temporary traffic control at the corner of Jefferson and Middaugh. It was pretty dangerous around noon today.
ckfred,
I too thought the timing was poor for this construction. See you tomorrow Fred! I have a kid in the Leap into Kindergarten class.
After thinking about my last post I realize that the timing of this project really doesn’t matter. I knew about the project and the village had signs up well in advance. I just don’t like construction. LOL
