Is it okay to park in a handicapped parking space for just a quick in/out of a business? Say, to drop off a movie, or pick up a pizza that’s waiting? I’m just curious, I saw both last night. The lots weren’t even half full at either place.

As someone who broke his leg last winter and NEEDED the disabled spaces, I say absolutely NOT to pulling into the LAST vacant space or the one CLOSEST to the door. The law is clear, however, it’s never ok.
Your maker blessed you with 2 legs that work, don’t insult him.
The law is clear and if the spaces were clearly marked then it is never OK, even for just a minute. Maybe we need handicapped space cameras- it is a heafty fine and less subjective than the red-light ” did I stop before the line and for three seconds” rule.
Meat… I completely agree with you! It’s NEVER ok unless you have the placard! Although I have to add that business need to be more diligent in making sure the spaces are properly signed and marked so there is no guessing… And yes, I know that it IS possible to have too many handicapped parking spaces! Walmart, are you reading this!?!?!
No, No, and no. And to use or borrow the express my six grade teacher liked to use “what part of no, did you not understand?”
