Local Woodridge resident Greg Abbott has announced he will file and run for the seat being vacated by Kyle Gilgis here in District 3, which includes roughly the south half of Downers Grove.
Mr. Abbott’s law offices are in the CBD of Downers Grove and he is a member of the DG Chamber of Commerce. He has worked for the Illinois Attorney General’s Office, and has been in private practice since 1997. Mr. Abbott successfully argued before the Illinois Supreme Court, winning a landmark case benefiting insurance policyholders against unethical insurance practices. He is married and has three children.
In a shoestring 2008 campaign, Abbott unsuccessfully challenged Christine Radogno in the Republican primary for the 41st District Senate seat.

He looks allot like my Senior year trigonometry professor, only he’s smiling.
another lawyer…I mean why can’t we just get a regular citizen to run? Why is it always a slick lawyer? No dis against Mayor Ron here or lawyers in general but the distrust of most politicians stems from people who are good at stretching the truth for a living. Oh well, maybe someone who is a joe the plumber type might throw his or her hat in the ring.
..but PLEASE not ‘Joe the Plumber’…
Chad, not all attorney’s are slick and I can honestly say Greg is one of the good ones. Meat if you don’t like Joe the Plumber how about “Joe the Realtor”
Joe,
I understand that all attorney’s are not slick. However, I want the slick one to represent me in court! LOL (Wink)
I heard Krajewski is running for District 3? Does anyone know if this is true?
